Appalachian State Football’s homecoming matchup against Coastal Carolina on Saturday has officially sold out, marking the 14th consecutive capacity crowd at Kidd Brewer Stadium. The Mountaineers’ first Sun Belt Conference home game of 2025 continues the amazing attendance streak that has established The Rock as one of college football’s premier venues.

Fans are encouraged to wear gold for the homecoming celebration, with merchandise available at multiple retail partners including Alumni Hall, App State Campus Store, Mountaineer Mania, Sports Fanatic, Walmart, and Yosef’s Locker.

Sustained Excellence in Attendance

App State Football season tickets sold out in early June for the fourth consecutive year, showing the good support from Mountaineer Nation. This sustained demand led ESPN to recognize Kidd Brewer Stadium as one of the top 25 stadiums in all of college football last year.

The four highest single-season average home attendance marks in both App State and Sun Belt Conference history have all been achieved at The Rock in consecutive years: 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. This unprecedented consistency showcases the program’s growing national profile and the passionate fanbase that makes every home game an electric atmosphere.

Recent Attendance Dominance

Nineteen of the top 22 crowds in stadium history have occurred since the start of 2022, with all 20 home games during that stretch surpassing 30,000 attendees. The 2025 home opener against Lindenwood drew 34,921 fans, while Oregon State’s inaugural visit to Boone attracted 35,021, the sixth-largest attendance in Kidd Brewer Stadium history.
