Appp State Football Announces 35 Transfer Portal Additions for 2026 Season

With spring classes underway in 2026, App State football has announced the addition of 35 transfer portal newcomers from NCAA institutions. Combined with 29 December signees, including 23 high school players, the total number of announced newcomers for the 2026 season reaches 64.

Position Breakdown

The 35 transfer additions include:

  • 10 defensive backs (five safeties)
  • Five wide receivers
  • Four linebackers
  • Three quarterbacks
  • Three defensive linemen
  • Three offensive linemen
  • Two running backs
  • Two tight ends
  • One punter
  • One kicker
  • One long snapper

Notable Additions

The Mountaineers secured multiple high-profile transfers from Power Five programs. Running back Treyaun Webb comes from Florida, while quarterback Henry Hasselbeck transfers from UCLA. Wide receiver Semaj Fleming arrives from Boston College, and tight end Luke Douglas joins from Florida State.

Additional notable transfers include quarterback Malachi Singleton from Purdue, wide receiver Dazmin James from Cal, offensive lineman Devon Manuel from Florida, and kicker James London from Pittsburgh.

Defensive Reinforcements

The secondary receives significant reinforcement with five safeties: Eric Adams (North Carolina Central), Cary Grant (Charlotte), Jakob Gude (UCF), Devin Henderson (Liberty), and Kaleb Purdy (Tennessee Tech).

Five cornerbacks join the roster: Khalil Conley (North Carolina), Ja’Cari Henderson (UCF), Josh Williams (Dayton), Dre Walker (Virginia), and Joe Reddish (Virginia Tech).

The linebacker corps adds four players: Kevin Henderson (Findlay), Alex Mitchell (Middle Tennessee), Carson Sloan (Samford), and Keshawn Thomas (Old Dominion).

Offensive Additions

Beyond Webb, the running back room adds J’Marion Burnette from Houston.

The wide receiver group expands with Zachary Taylor (Arkansas), Chris Lofton (Gardner-Webb), and Sam Pickett III (Samford) joining Fleming and James.

Quarterbacks Tommy Ulatowski (Kennesaw State) and Singleton join Hasselbeck in the quarterback room.

The offensive line welcomes Greydon Grimes (Kansas) and Mac Walters (South Carolina) alongside Manuel.

Tight ends Darrin Fugitt (Lindenwood) and Douglas round out the receiving corps.

Special Teams

The special teams units receive upgrades with punter Jaxson Dunn (Arkansas State), kicker James London (Pittsburgh), and long snapper Parker Stone (Tulsa).

Defensive Line

The defensive line adds Jehchys Brown (Southeast Missouri), Aaron Clark (Towson), and Ki’Shawn Harvey (ETSU).
